* “The Bonus Effect" * When Molecular Hydrogen Fixes More Than You Asked It To
I started breathing molecular hydrogen because I was having severe pain in my knees and wrist. And this is what happened I had six other health problems that slowly went away. So did all of the expense that I was paying to deal with all of these different problems.

I started using molecular hydrogen about six years ago. I wanted to try it because I was having pain in my wrist and my knees. At that time I had a brain injury from CPTSD and a brainstem injury that happened during the suicide attempt. It has been re-injured about five times. I'm on permanent disability now mainly because I'm so fragile. My doctor said if I have one more injury, I will probably be paralyzed from the waist down permanently. Molecular hydrogen has brought all the problems I have under control. My knees and wrists don't hurt anymore. I don't have erectile dysfunction anymore. I don't have plantar fasciitis anymore. "I call this, "THE BONUS EFFECT" when you take molecular hydrogen for one thing, and it fixes many others.
I was hopeful for less joint pain, less inflammation. What I didn’t expect was the bonus effect not only did my knees and wrists stop hurting I had a breakthrough on my CPTSD. I didn't think it was even possible to affect my CPTSD the way that it has. The first time I inhaled MH was the first time that my brain stopped ruminating for my entire life. I was so used to it I didn't think that was even possible to stop it.
Why “zero side effects” doesn’t exist in p harmaceuticals? I that's not a mistake if you leave the P out what do you have?
Harmaceutical drugs work by interfering with biology. By blocking a receptor, or stimulating a pathway, suppressing inflammation, altering neurotransmitters, changing hormone levels etc.
Thirty years ago I tried several psychotropic drugs, Zoloft, Paxil, and Prozac. I was going to show the side effects of each one, but there's so many it takes pages to read so I will just show you the short version.
I also have a list of side effects for Prozac, because I was on Prozac when I had my suicide attempt. Years after the suicide attempt, I was watching a video about Prozac, and several of the interviewees said that it gave them the will to commit suicide. When I heard that I was shocked because that's exact exactly how I felt when I was on it. I don't expect you to read all this I just want you to see the volume of text it takes to warn people about this so-called medicine?
Sertraline (Zoloft) Frequently prescribed, effective for reducing overall PTSD symptoms, including intrusive, repetitive thoughts. Sertraline (Zoloft) side effects range from common issues like nausea, dry mouth, sleep changes, sweating, and sexual dysfunction to more serious ones like worsening depression/suicidal thoughts, serotonin syndrome (fever, confusion, rapid heart rate, twitching), and allergic reactions, requiring immediate medical attention.Dizziness and fatigue are often noted, especially early on, but usually improve.
Common Side Effects (May Improve Over Time)
Gastrointestinal: Nausea, diarrhea, indigestion, dry mouth.
Neurological: Dizziness (especially when standing), headache, tremors, fatigue, insomnia or sleepiness, agitation.
Sexual: Decreased libido, ejaculation failure, erectile dysfunction.
Other: Increased sweating, changes in appetite, yawning, bruxism (teeth grinding).
Serious Side Effects (Seek Immediate Medical Help)
Mental Health: Worsening depression, new or increased suicidal thoughts or behaviors (especially in young adults), manic episodes, increased hostility, hallucinations.
Serotonin Syndrome: Agitation, confusion, rapid heart rate, fever, sweating, muscle stiffness/twitching, vomiting, diarrhea, seizures.
Allergic Reactions: Rash, hives, swelling (face, tongue, throat), difficulty breathing.
Bleeding: Unusual bruising or bleeding, black/tarry stools, vomiting blood.
Heart Issues: Irregular or pounding heartbeat, chest pain, severe dizziness.
Low Sodium (Hyponatremia): Headache, confusion, muscle weakness, fatigue.
When to Contact Your Doctor
If you experience any serious side effects.
If you have thoughts of harming yourself.
If you notice severe mood changes or unusual behavior.
Always discuss side effects with your healthcare provider, as they can suggest dosage adjustments or other strategies to manage them.
Paroxetine (Paxil): FDA-approved for PTSD and often used to treat the anxiety and depression associated with it.
Fluoxetine (Prozac): An SSRI often used "off-label" with strong evidence supporting its effectiveness for PTSD symptoms.
suicidal thoughts are a known possible side effect of Prozac (fluoxetine). That’s well-established and not controversial, so your research question is totally fair.
Here’s the clear, science-grounded version:
What’s known about Prozac & suicidal thoughts
Prozac is an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor).
SSRIs carry an FDA black box warning for increased risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors, especially:
Children and adolescents
Young adults up to age 24
The risk is highest:
In the first few weeks after starting
After dose increases or decreases
This risk is about thoughts and impulses, not necessarily completed suicide.
Adults over 25
In adults 25 and older, large studies show:
The average long-term effect is neutral to protective
BUT a subset of people still experience paradoxical worsening, including:
New suicidal ideation
Increased agitation
Akathisia (inner restlessness)
Emotional blunting followed by distress
So the risk is real, just unevenly distributed.
Why this can happen (mechanistically)
A few key hypotheses:
Energy before mood improves: motivation increases before depression lifts
Serotonergic overstimulation early on
Disruption of threat / impulse circuits (amygdala–PFC mismatch)
Akathisia, which is strongly linked to suicidal ideation
Importantly:
This is not a moral or psychological failure — it’s a neurochemical reaction in certain brains.
What clinicians watch for
Doctors are taught to monitor for:
New or worsening suicidal thoughts
Sudden agitation or restlessness
Increased impulsivity
Feeling “wired,” pressured, or emotionally off in a new way
If those appear, the standard response is adjusting or stopping the medication, not pushing through.
Now look at the price of taking Prozac for a year or.
generic Prozac (fluoxetine) for a year is very low, often costing less than $100 total (roughly $5–$10 per month) at many pharmacies using coupons. Conversely, brand-name Prozac can exceed $6,000 annually without insurance, while 30-day supplies of the brand-name cost hundreds.
Cost Breakdown (Without Insurance)
Generic Fluoxetine (1 year): Approximately $37–$70 (with discount programs, as noted by Marley Drug).
Brand-Name Prozac (1 year): Often over $6,000, with 30-day supplies potentially costing $400+.
This is the machine that I'm currently using. I've had it for almost 2 years and it has worked flawlessly. I breathe one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. This keeps my rumination in check so I work on other things like a blog post.
Thanks for reading, but wait, there's more!
